5 Tips in Using Cosmetic Dentistry Reviews
Depending on who you ask, visiting a cosmetic dentist is something only A-List celebrities can afford or a completely foreign concept. So, what do you do when that chipped tooth just won’t fix itself or those pearly whites just aren’t very white anymore?
Many people turn to the internet whenever they look for a new service provider to read reviews and find out who is recommend in their area. But online reviews can only get you so far. How do you wade through all those cosmetic dentistry reviews to find out which one to visit? Here are a few tips:
#1 – A Little Light Reading Required
A simple search for cosmetic dentistry on Google will bring up hundreds of listings in your area each with their own reviews. Click one and read the good and bad reviews. Get a feel for what others are saying about the cosmetic dentists in your area and what important traits they consider like a welcoming staff, gentle procedures, and the type of results they get from visiting that dentist.
#2 Consider the Source
Like with everyone on the internet these days, if the reviewer seems to have a chip on their shoulder take it into consideration but read what other clients are writing, too. Often times people will have their friends and family make posts on their websites to make themselves look better so consider this when a particular cosmetic dentist has only gushing reviews and immediately deletes any negative ones.
#3 Look At the Pictures
Most cosmetic dentistry reviews have before and after pictures. Examine the pictures showing how the procedures can change your smile and what to consider when you go into to get a tooth repaired. Does it seem realistic to you? Taking a few moments to look at those pictures will clue you in on what to expect and also better understand what the happy and not so happy clients are raving about.
#4 Seek Expect Advice
The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry website has listings and links of dentists in your area and around the world. Click on a link and visit the websites of your local cosmetic dentists and read reviews to determine which dentist will fit your needs.
#5 Ask a Trusted Friend or Family Member
You can read hundreds of reviews but until you actually talk to someone you trust you’ll never have all the facts. Talk to trusted friends and family about how they are enjoying their new veneers and their recent teeth whitening procedure and what they liked best and least about the experience. Find out who they recommend and set up an appointment for a consultation.
